Assistant Principal's Corner

Greetings,

           I am very excited to be joining the Loachapoka family as the Assistant Principal. To give you a little background about myself, I have been married for seven years to Damion Barry and we have two beautiful daughters - Harper(4) and Camille(2). I am a Huntsville native, and I moved to Auburn to attend college. At Auburn, I received my bachelors and masters degrees in Early Childhood Education and a second masters in the Administration of Elementary and Secondary Education - War Eagle! I was also a member of the Varsity Women’s Basketball team. Basketball taught me to work hard, prioritize my tasks, and to be organized; all of which I know have helped me throughout my teaching career. Just as I had to do on the court, I will work hard to make this a successful year for the students of LHS.
           This will begin my tenth year in education; with experience in second and third grades & Title 1 Intervention. My hope is that we can foster a love for learning within our students as well as prepare them to be productive members of their community. I look forward to having a fantastic year together!
